Pike Peak Trek is situated in the lower part of Everest Region. To access the trek local jeeps are daily transportation available from Kathmandu to Dhap (2900m), on the way to Phaplu. This is considered as the best hiking trail in less altitude which explores Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Makalu, Numbur(6859m), Khatang (6833m) long ranges of mountains to the north and the east. fascinating valley views attract the eye and mind to the south direction. Duration of the trek is 11 day. The first step of trekking starts from Ghap (2900m) in Okhaldhunga district. During the trekking, we explore Sherpa villages, culture, tradition, and many more chortens and monasteries. Unless you reach Junbesi village, the lodges serve you very basic food and lodges.
The trekkers who plan short hiking through villages and opened yak grazing meadow, barren fields, hills and a large area of rhododendron forests are encountered. widely views of hills, mountains, and valleys are stunning from place to place while hiking. Highlights of this trek are the view of Everest, Pike Peak (4067m) beautiful views of sunset and sunrise. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

When you arrive at Katmandu International Airport then transfer to your hotel. A short briefing is given concerning trekking itinerary.

Day 02: Sightseeing Swayambhu, Boudha and Durbar square

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap 2850m/ 7hrs by Jeep

Journey starts early morning leaving hustle-bustle Kathmandu valley to Dhap Bazaar via Okhaldungha by private 4W land cruiser which takes almost 7 hours driving along the Sun Koshi, later joining Then smooth drives goes uphill continuously towards north through the subtropical forests of Pine to dense forests of Rhododendron passing several countryside villages, beautiful landscapes and valleys until reaching Dhap Bazzar (2850m) which takes about 3 hours. To explore the fascinated village with several local shops give you different experience of knowing local people and culture, their way of life. In the clear sky, the awesome mountain view of Numbur Chuli feels you that you are already closed to the Himalaya. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre 2815m/4 hours via Sigane

The first day of our trekking along the trail on a dusty road to Sigane about 2 and a half. From Sigane the trail leads us on a road under construction for the first couple of hours then Jahpre (2815m) village appears. It is a place from where you can see beautiful Himalaya range, and also there are small village Monastery, Stupa here. In the village, there are some common lodges for accommodation.

Day 05: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp 3585m/5 hours

Today’s trek offers beautiful views of Numbur Chuli and Everest Himalayan range. A short trail follows the dusty road and enters into a gentle walking uphill through the Pine and Rhododendron forest passing, Bhulbule (3210m) where there is a small tea shop there. The trail continues again the gentle climbing uphill to arrive in Lhamuje (3330m) it is lunch place and newly built tea-house. This place is surrounded with different spices of Rhododendron forests in the spring blooming is beautiful to see them. After the lunch, the trail climbs up on amazing ridge explores widen valley view and mountain views. On the way, we meet a very long Mani Wall after passing them steep climbing uphill trail reach to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3585m where there are two basic lodges. It is nice to visit Yak Cheese factory.

Day 06: Trek from Pikey Base Camp to Jasmane Bhanjyang (3550m)(max.4hrs)

Heading to the north on stone steps lead to Pike Peak (4065m) which offers amazing views Himalayan range and the spectacular views of mountains to the northeast side Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Khangtega and north direction Number Chuli and many more. The trail descends very seep down through a forest of rhododendron and pine forest reach Jasmane Bhanjyang (3550m).4 lodges serve food and room for trekkers.overnight at the lodge.

Day 07: Jasmane Bhanjyant to Junebeshi (2680m)(max. 6hrs)

From Jasmane Bhanjyang the trail continues climb up to a ridge it takes about 1hour and a half then hiking down past rhododendron and pine forest to arriveTaktor where Lamjura the trail from Jiri joins here and it is lunch place. Beyond Taktor the level of walking rail stays gently down to Junbesi (2680m). On the way, there are passed several mani walls and stone chhortens. Junbeshi village is well-known for lodges, school, health post, and Thupten Chholing Monastery.

Day 08: Exploration trip to Thupten Chholing Gompa 2920m/4 hours

Morning after breakfast, you can hike to Thupten Chholing Gompa (2920m) for round trip 3 hours. The trail goes along Junbesi Khola with gentle climbing uphill. The Gompa was founded in the 19th Century and practiced by Tibetan Buddhism. Then same way back to Junbesi. You may enjoy the meditation with local nuns and monks in the Monastery and explore the village.

Day 09: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu 2380m/4 hours

Then we leave Junbesi village crossing by a steel bridge, walk on the dirt road along the Junbesi Khola until reaching Benighat which takes 1 and half hour. We continue to walk on the dirt motorable road until reaching Bhagbani, then a short walk up hill to Phaplu (2380m) which takes about an hour walking. People spent a night here to catch a flight back to Kathmandu or 9 hours drive by local jeep the next day. Here are plenty of nice lodges. We stay overnight in Phaplu.

Day 10: Phaplu To Kathmandu by Local Jeep about 9 hrs

Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu.
