Limi Valley Trek lies in the western region of Nepal in Humla district which is border joins with India in the west and China in the north. Accessing point fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and Nepaljung to Simikot. Between Nepalgung and simikot the plane takes you crossing over ranges of mountain one after the ranges of mountains. Limi valley is a hidden valley one of the most remote districts of Nepal.

Limi Valley Trek is a circled trek which rewards with heavenly scenically, culturally, traditionally and religiously and villages of Nepali Tibetans from Tibet. The region is isolated and unspoiled since past till now or not affected by modern it means stoned mud houses roofless and transportation are mainly yaks, mule, donkey, and horses. This trek is known as a wild valley wilderness of the adventure in Nepal. As while doing the trek, we explore beautiful mountains, valleys, high exposed villages, glacier icy streams. This region marks a very deep old-aged Buddhist religion, the culture so more of the trekking days pass chortens and ancient gompas which are painted with tremendous beauties of arts inside and outside of them.

Limi Valley trek is rich in high mountain flora and fauna found in the Himalayas of Nepal. Exclusively popular for unique and rare flora and fauna and very often we can see wildlife are wild yak, blue sheep, wolf, marmot, wild yak, and very seldom to see wilds are musk deer, Himalayan black bear, snow leopard so it’s better to know that this hidden valley is safe and good habitat for wildlife. On this trek, we can also see the great mountains of Saipal (7031m) , API,(7132m), Kanti 6859m) and Kanjirowa (6883m), in Nepal, besides holy Mount Kailash (6638m) in Tibet.
Above and all mountain views, and below the mountain are icy streams and then below the icy streams are slope valleys where yaks and mountain goats are grazing in a different color of grassy land. Beside and just below and in the middle of the valleys there is a settlement of villages, look at them how beautiful look over there, At the bottom of the valley a calm blue, long flowing river in a shape of a snake in the south direction through valley flowing is Karnali River.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport transfer to your hotel, a short briefing will follow concerning the necessary information about your trekking after you may spend free time, visiting sanctuaries or rest.

Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

On this day you are busy to visit ancient local traditions and places. In Kathmandu, there are many Buddhist and Hindu temples like Boudhnath Stupa, Swayambhu, and Durbarsqaur.

Day 03 Fly from Kathmandu 1hr to Nepalgunj overnight at hotel

Day 04 Fly from Nepalgunj (55minutes) to Simikot (2965m)

Early in the morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot a long flight to the north direction over many mountains to Simikot. At the airport, our crew members come to assist carry the backpack to the hotel. In the afternoon side visit at Simikot is district headquarter of Humla district where inhabitants are Lama, Thakuri and Chhetri to live in their local traditional houses are amazing and surprising because they are roofless and connected one after the another. Simikot has many and all sorts of shops are available for people and trade to remote parts of Humla.

Day 05 Simikot to Dharapuri (2300m) (6hrs)

Everything is checked and set off with crew members and we start trekking to climbing up from Simikot. As Simikot is past and then sheer descending trail through pine trees to Masigaon village of Thakuri from here further ahead a cluster of flat roofless houses can be seen. The Karnali River valley view enjoys us. Camp at Dharapuri a small village where we register permit at police check-post.

Day 06 Dharapuri to Kermi (2670m) (5-6hrs)

Today’s destination is to Kermi takes 4-5 hours on a narrow trail on the east side of the Karnali River. The winding path up and down offers a rocky view with three waterfalls on the right side but not much climbing the steep path to Kermi.

Day 07 Kermi to Chumsa Khola (3400m) (5-6hrs)

The trail to Chumsa Khola takes a long time ascending through splendid pine forest and the path meets mani walls, stone cairns on ridges. Before reaching Chumsa Khola two bridges are crossed and we leave the main trail to Taklakot Tibet, on the right-side trail is to Kermi, Eventually, we are at Chumsa Khola where our camp is set up at the peaceful spot.

Day 08 Chumsa Khola to Dharamsala (4000m) (6-7hrs)

Today’s walking time about 4hours on very steep to Dharamsala. The trail enters through Spanish moss dripped birch and pine to pass to many streams and then continue climbing up to glacier moraine and then to Dharamsala has some stone huts. We camp here on flat ground and good stream water for cooking.

Day 09 Dharamsala to Talung Camp (4380m) (7-8hrs)

Today is a tough and challenging adventure with a long walk trail to Nyu La (4990m) is the highest altitude must be crossed during the valley trek then sleep at Talung Camp (4380m). The walking time is the longest about 7-8 hours and even though the path leads easy and sloping to the pass as we are on top of the pass from where views of mountains and valleys are spectacular. Far beyond to the north Mount Kailash and Tibetan plateau clearly visible if there is good weather. From the pass, the trail sweeps down through hundreds of marked stones by local people withness of Mt Kailash. If there is snow it makes difficult to walk down to Talung.

Day 10 Talung Camp to Jang (4070m) (6-7hrs)

Day 10 trek is limited in Talung and Takeche valley. From Talung heading north encounters a lake by the right side of it the contour beyond and joins to an old trail which is the way to China Tibet. We turn to the left side down walking reaches to a bridge to cross it and then finally at the village of Jang a beautiful and charming settlement.

Day 11 Rest day in Jang

After a week continues walking on highland causes tired so a day is a good idea to have a rest in Jang to explore the surrounding of the village. Jang has many things to see for a day by visiting white color chortens, gompas, irrigated buckwheat, and barley fields, and few meters climbing up for views of villages with roofless houses, sounding streams and waterfalls.

Day 12 Jang to Halji (3670m) (5-6hrs)

The trail follows down to the direction of Hilsa Tibet path. After 4 days we reach at Hilsa road. A gradually up and down rocky trail through crest and ridges arrives at Hilji village is studded with mani walls, prayer flags, and chortens. The village looks very beautiful with its wheat, barley and buckwheat fields as cool breeze waves over fields shaking wheat and barley imagine how unexpected beauty.

Day 13 Halji to Til (3700m) (5-6hrs)

Leaving Halji, we drop down the following path along the Limi Khola which mostly directed to the east-west position. A small bridge must be crossed and then a narrow trail sets down to the south and again a suspension bridge is crossed over Syagag Khola then to a short climbing up from here one hour further arrives Til village is the last village of Limi Valley Trek.

Day 14 Til to Manepeme (3970m)(7-8hrs)

Today we follow the trail is most of the parts are steep passing streams up and down approaches Lamka Lagna from where to the south direction view of The Karnali River. From Lamka Lagna a steep down knee-crouches reaches Manepeme where religious Buddhist mantras have been carved on stones.

Day 15 Manepeme to Hilsa (3740m) (4-5hrs)

Day 15 trek passes Nara La is the second pass and meets Hilsa road. It is not a long walking offering exposes Tibetan plateau and barley fields and then approaches Hilsa village which has on the right side road to Taklakot Tibet border and left side road is to Simikot. The village has houses with shops. We register the permit at the police check-post.

Day 16 Hila to Palbang (3389m) (7-8hrs)

It is clear that we follow the main trail to Simikot to reach our destination Palbang is the long trail passes through Nara La (4560m) and Yari village. Views of mountains, spurs, and ravens spices the trek but dipping and rising on-road exhausted us. On the way, we meet travelers to and fro Kailash pilgrims like this while the path reaches Palbang village.

Day 17 Palbang to Muchu (2929m) (5-6hrs)

Day 17 starts sloping towards the forest of juniper to a maximum at 3300m elevation and descent Village of Tumkot, 17-day trekking takes about 4 hours on the gentle trail offers beautiful views of the forest, small streams, and lovely orchards. It is a day passing without exhausted and tiredness. We arrive at Muchu where again the permits are presented at the police check post. We have camp at the best view spot.

Day 18 Muchu to Chumsa Khola (3400m)(5-6hrs)

Today’s destination is to Chumsa Khola where Limi Valley trek completes a circle trek. This day trek rewards with a beautiful scene of a forest, the river and villages and the trail past Yangor and Yalbang. The finally Chumsa Khola was the 4 day of the trek we had spent a night.

Day 19 Chumsa Khola to Dharapuri (2300m) (5-6hrs)

We reverse the trail to Simikot and it is to know that our Limi valley trek is coming close to finish. Approximately 5 to 6 hours to walk from Chumsa Khola to Dharpuri.

Day 20 Dharpuri to Simikot (2965m) (6hrs)

Today is the last day of Limil Valley Trek. Following the retrace climb steeply from Masigaon to the ridge of Simikot .we mere our last day of the trek with all our crew members.

Day 21 Fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu

Day 22 Rest day in Kathmandu

Day 23 Departure from Kathmandu
