There are two passes encounter one is as known Salpa and the other is Surke both are above 3000m.Salpa pass route mostly located between the Sagarmatha and Makalu-Barun National park. Makalu trekking region is blessed with an incredible diversity of nature and culture. Arun valley, Salpa pass trek combines all these factors and more. Chirping birds, gentle noise of stream, and fragrance of pine trees, spectacular views of rhododendron forest, shrubs, and bushes on the Salpa pass/ Arun valley trekking trail provides you a different experience than the other busy trekking routes of Nepal where the number of tourist is more than local people. A very few tourists discover the fascinating Salpa pass/ Arun valley trek route, home to Kulung and Sherpa ethnic people with traditional customs, that haven’t changed for centuries. We recommend Salpa pass trekking for those trekkers who are seeking less crowded virgin trekking destination. Highest access of Salpa pass or Salpa Bhanjyang (3350m).
