Manaslu is situated in the east part of Kathmandu 125k away in Gorkha district. It is strictly regulated by the Nepal Government to preserve their social culture and local tradition of the area. The most trekking clients choice is the Manaslu Circuit Trek (Larkya La Pass 5110m) which offers a specular view, a high pass crossing at Larkya La and increasingly rugged scenery. Manaslu trek was named from Mount Manaslu 8163m.

The trail follows along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River crossing and re-crossing on the left right and on the left till Dharmasala. The trek offers gorges with pyramid formed of cliffs passing villages of Gurung and Tibetans. During the trek, each entering and exit point of the village is signed with a gate on it Chorten, it can be seen from above Jagat to Samdo.  About six decades ago this route was used for salt trade between Nepal and Tibet China from Samdo and Tsum Valley point So far it is less crowded trekking route. The trail passes through huge cliffside shelves up and down crossing on suspension bridges over Budhi Gandaki River. Manaslu Trek rewards with views of Ganesh Himal range and Shring Himal to the east direction and to the west direction mountain views are Budha Himal, Rain Peak, Himal Chuli North, and Nadi Chuli, Manaslu and Manaslu North. After  Larkya La Pass 5110m glacier views of Cho Danda, Larkya peak and on the west north direction where spectacular views of  Annapurna II, Kanguru, Himlung Himal, and Cheo Himal are lined up.

The trek offers another trekking route Tsum Valley Trek if trekkers want a long trek. Trekker’s view the Manaslu Trek is geographically and culturally fascinating. It is a restricted area. Below Namrung inhabitants are ethnic Gurung and from above Namarung inhabitants are descendants of Tibetan immigrants. From Samdo China border is the one day walk the same day morning leave for shopping and return in the evening on the horse.
