Annapurna village Trek is located in the southern belly part of the Annapurna Himalayas Range. It is in the central part of Nepal to the west direction from Kathmandu. To access Annapurna Village Trek is fly or drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Starting and ending trekking point at Naya Pul (1070m). 12 days trek offers exotic beautiful villages of Dhampus, Tolka, Jhinu, Chormrong, Tadapani, and Ghandruk. During the trek is completely passing through villages and farming terraced. Inhabitants are indigenous Gurung and Magar. They are believed Mangolian race professionally farmers and soldiers.

The trek offers magnificent views of Lampung Himal(6983m), Annapurna South (7219m) Annapurna ii(7837m), Annapurna iv(7525m), Annapurna iii(7555m), Gangapurna(7454m), Hiun Chuli(6501m), and Dhaulagiri (8172m). Rhododendron flowers forest attract the trekkers in the spring season. white snow-capped Annapurna Himalaya range is very closely observed from the beginning of the trek. Day to day trekking explores mountains. In Jhinu Danda there is a natural hot spring to dip into for good health.

The Annapurna village trekking trail is easy and comfortable. The highest elevation is( 2680m) at Tadapani. we walk on villages used path which leads through charming biodiversity various color forest. Withness to day to day lifestyle of this region. Up and down the path on stone stepped stairs, forest, rice field terraced, across ridges and amazing suspension bridges over rivers.while hiking charming sound of birds and insects can be heard. Chances to see wild animals birds.

Food and accommodation are excellent services. It is the village trek so every village and along with the trailside, lodges and restaurants are available to serve local and continental food. Bed and rooms are tidy and comfortable. Hot and soft drinks are available every part of the trek.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1200m)

When you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport then transfer to your hotel. A short briefing is given concerning trekking itinerary.

Day 02 Sightseeing Swayambhunath and Boudha Stupa

Day 03 Drive to Pokhara by car (max 6hrs)

Kathmandu to Pokhara is by car. Rest at the hotel and visit the market. Pokhara is one of the busiest tourist center and the most beautiful city of Nepal. Mt Fishtail and some parts of Annapurna range are attractively seen from here. It is both trekking starting and ending point. There are trekking shops, banks, all kinds of standard hotel for tourists. Phewa Lake has joined to the Pokhara city. People enjoy boating, paragliding, golf and horse riding.

Day 04 Pokhara to Phedi by car then hiking to Dhampus(1600m) (2hrs)

A car takes 30 minutes to Phedi is on the side of the highway road. Phedi to Dhampus trail climbs steeply for about 2 hours gently walk as it begins on a stone staircase in the forest trail. The trail leads you rice terraced fields and traditional houses with the domestic animal shelter. Dhampus is in inhabited by Gurung and few other people. Dhampus has many hotels and lodges equipped with comfortable rooms. Pokhara valley view, Sarangkot hill, views of Mt Machhapuchhare (6997m) and villages are impressive.

Day 05 Dhampus to Tolka (1700m) (max 5hrs)

From Dhampus the trail climbs to Pottana (2000m) through beautiful green forests. You should present your permit at ACAP Check post. The view of Machhapuchhare (6997m) is excellent from Pottana a cluster of hotels serves you comfortable rooms and nice food. The trail to Tolka climbs past forests to Deurali (2150m) from this point charming views of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6434m) and Phewa Lake. Descends to Bheri Kharka means ‘sheep meadow’ then the gently flat trail to Tolka ( 1790m) is a big Gurung village has lodges and guesthouses with common rooms.

Day 05 Tolka to Jhinu (1780m) (4-5hrs)

We follow Tolka trail to Jhinu Danda passes flat past rice terrace to Landruk village of Gurung where 5 or 6 popular lodges are throughout the village. A few steps down on the left side to Ghandruk and on the right side to Chhomrong. The opposite side of Landruk is Ghandruk village. The trail ascends inside lovely forests and waterfalls. New Bridge is crossed over a Modi Khola after 10 minutes climbing up there are three lodges. A short heading through forests and mountain bamboo bushes lead you to Kimrong Khola. An attractive long suspension bridge is used to cross the river. The route cliffside leads to Jhinu Danda (1750m) where there are comfortable lodges on a ridge. From Jhinu Danda 20 minutes walk down through forests you reach the bank of Modi Khola where there are two hot spring ponds with cement bathing pools. Hot water natural comes out from the ground.

Day 06 Jhinu to Chhomrong (2170m)(2hrs)

Pick up Jhinu Danda trail to Chhomrong one of the very steep climbing paths. As we leave behind Jhinu Danda, and heading up to the destination, on the left side is the view of Kimrong valley and to the right side north is green forest valley gorge to Annapurna Base Camp. The sound of Modhi Khola very often whistle your ear. A continue climbing up we pass a cluster of teashops at Taglung this place is a meeting point of main Ghandruk Chhomrong route. A few minutes walk from here to Chhomrong (2170m) is a big Gurung village. Lodges, cottages, and shops scattered along the trail. Panorama view of Hiunchuli closely seen to the north side.

Day 06 Chhomrong to Chuile (2170m)(4-5hrs)

The trail to Annapurna Base Camp trek heads to the north but we follow back the trail to Ghorepani Ghandruk Trail. we enjoy walking trail through millet and wheat fields, school. villages and forest flat path to Gurjung village. Monkeys are possible to see chattering on the rees among themselves and nice to see jumping one tree to another tree. A flock of sheep is grazing and bleating on the trailside forests. The south direction is impressive Kimrong valley view. An old and short suspension bridge is crossed just before Gurjung. As we descend to Kirmrong Khola a wide and new bridge is crossed to climb Chuile. From Kimrong Khola slowly and gently continue climbing up passing villages to Chuile village is in my view one of the best viewpoints of Mt. Annapurna South (7319m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Machhpuchhare(7997m).

Day 07 Chuile to Ghandruk (1940m) via Tadapani (2600m) (4-5hrs)

Passing above Chuile, we follow up the trail which leads through a thick forest of rhododendron, maple, and oak. Pleasant forest trailed explores huge and old trees are covered with bushy moss. In the spring trek, the forest is completely in the red flower of rhododendron. Different types of birds chirping in calm forest make your trekking enjoyable. Monkeys and deers are lucky to see them. The path is good to walk but continues climbing up to Tadapani. From Tadapani the trail descends through a very tall and smoothy forest of rhododendron to Bhaisi Kharka (buffaloe pastureland). A continue following the path along the streams and peaceful jungle walk reach Ghanruk village inhabited of Gurung. One of the most beautiful villages in Nepal. The trails are well paved with stones and house are traditional and thatched with a stone roof. There are health center, schools, museums, and excellent lodges and houses. Buses and jeeps are direct to Pokhara.

Day 08 Ghandruk to Naya Pul (1070m)(Max. 4hrs)

The Naya Pul trail heads to the south from Ghandruk and stone-paved. Walking down and crossing steam reaches Kimche village through charming rice fields look in green and yellow colour hill down to Syauli Bazaar at the bank of Modi Khola. Here the lodges and cafes seem quite cosmopolitan. From Syauli Bazaar walking is flat along the dusty road. The route continues river valley to Chirmrong and finally Birethanti where you must register national park receipt and TIMS. Its 30 minutes walk to Naya Pul. From Naya Pul a car or a van drive you to Pokhara.
