Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek is the easiest and shortest trek in the region of Annapurna in Nepal. It is even suitable for children and over-aged trekkers. It is designed for 11 days trekking in maximum paradise Himalayas in less altitude so it is called mini paradise trekking for any aged of trekkers.
This trekking route is situated in the south face of Annapurna Himalaya ranges and east face of Mount Dhaulagiri range. The walking elevation starts from Nayapul (1070m) to Poon Hill (3210m). To access Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek is fly or drives from Kathmandu to Pokhara then about one hour and a half drive by car to Nayapul which is a starting and ending point of the trek. Trekking permit (Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and area permits (TIMS) are checked in Birethanti is 30 minutes walking from Nayapul.
Birethanti is a trekking intersection for Ghorepani Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp. The left side trail along the Bhurungdi River leads to Poon Hill. The right path is the trail to Ghandruk Ghorepani begins on the dusty gravel along the left side of Modi Khola (river). Eleven days trek explores pleasant ethnic villages of Gurung and Magar are Syauli Bazaar, Kimche, Ghandruk, Tadapni, Ghorepani and Ulleri, Hile, and Sudame. These villages offer traditional, culture, and exotic houses of Gurung and Magar. These ethnic people are very popular in the British Gurkhas soldier.
The trails are easy and agreeable which run on farming terraces, paved stone steps, on suspension bridges, into the thick forest of rhododendron, ridges, Mountain Viewpoints, and mountain bamboo bushes. Luxurious and tidy lodges include a continental nice menu with tidy rooms serve you along the trail in every camp place.
The rattling of divergent insects, the soulful chirping of barbets, and some grassbirds tweeting make the trek enjoyable. In the spring above 2000m forests are bloomy with various colors of rhododendron and with magnolia.
The area of Syauli Bazaar and Sudame attract you with bloomy of the cotton forest at the beginning of the spring season. Two magnificent viewpoints Deurali pass and Poon Hill offer panorama views of Mt Dhaulagiri (8172m), Mt Annapurna I (8071m), Mt Annapurna South (7219m), Himchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhare ( 6997m) and Nilgiris. Besides the south, from Poon Hill and Deurali to the triangle directions stand with Dhaulagiri Himalaya and Annapurna Himalaya range and to the horizontal Lamjung and Manaslu.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu
When you arrive at Kathmandu International airport then transfers to your hotel. A short briefing is given concerning the trekking itinerary.
Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
This day you will be taken around Kathmandu on tour for Buddhist and Hindu temples and acknowledge of ancient local traditions, besides these, there are many places to explore so are depending on your interest.
Day 03 Kathmandu to Pokhara by Car (max 6hrs)
Kathmandu to Pokhara is by car. Rest at the hotel and visit the market. Pokhara is one of the busiest tourist center and the most beautiful city of Nepal. Mt Fishtail and some parts of the Annapurna range are attractively seen from here. It is both trekking starting and ending point. There are trekking shops, banks, all kinds of standard hotels for tourists. Phewa Lake has joined to the Pokhara city. People enjoy boating, paragliding, golf, and horse riding.
Day 04 Naya Pul to Tikhedhunga (1540m)(3-4hrs)
A car or van leaves you at Naya Pul where trekking point starts. The road leading to Birethanti where a bridge over Modi Khola (river) just end of the bridge ACAP check post from the post left direction trail to Tikhedhunga means sharp stone. A gravel road through Sudame to Hile Gurung village along the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail reaches Sudame then climb up steadily to reach Hile (1430m). A paved stone path to Tikhedhunga where about half a dozen lodges are alongside the trail.
Day 05 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (6-7hrs) (2850m)
Five minutes walking down to Tikhedhunga Khola and Bhurungdi Khola bridges to cross then the trail climbs very steeply on a stone staircase to Ullery (2000m). Annapurna South is seen to the east north. The trail gently climbing starts from Ullery. After Banthanti you walk through magnificent oak, maple and rhododendron forests. Climbing gently up at 2480m a group of lodges appears is called Nangethanti mainly for lunch place. From here to Ghorepani is about 1hr. Lower Ghorepani and upper Ghorepani both together there are more than 2 dozen lodges and few shops. Most of the people reach Poon Hill before sunrise. From Ghorepani, it takes 1 hour climbing up Poon Hill. Poon Hill is a panorama viewpoint to see Mt Dhaulagiri,(8172m) Tukuche,(6848 ) Nilgiris and to Annapurna 1, (8091m) Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhare (6997m). On top of Poon Hill stands Poon hill Tower just near a tea shop serves you hot drinks for local business.
Day 06 Ghorepani to Tadapani (4-5hrs) (2680m)
From Ghorepani climbing up through rhododendron and grassy land the trail paved with stone reaches at 3200m Deaurali pass the last viewpoint. The trail heads through the ridge in pine, rhododendron and maple forests with small bamboo bushes. Walking about 2 hrs from Ghorepani you find nice tea shops at Deurali. The trail descends to Banthanti (2600m) a narrow path and slippery in rain alongside a stream. After passing Banthanti the trail gently flat muddy and interlaced root with rhododendron forests. The muddy trail descends to a stream then climbing up a stone staircase through forests to Tadapani means ‘far water’. Tadapani is surrounded by thick rhododendron forests where you can find more than a half dozen guesthouses. The views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare are spectacular from here.
Day 07 Tadapani to Ghandruk (max. 3hrs) (1940m)
The Ghandruk trail sets to the right side then descend through thick forests of rhododendron possible to see Langur big white hairy-faced monkey jumping and hanging on trees. After an hour you reach at Bhaisi Kharka where two lodges are situated along the rail. Nice walk in the forests and crossing many streams you reach Ghandruk. It is a popular second biggest village of Gurung. Guesthouses and traditional Gurung cottages are scattered throughout the village. Gurung museum, traditional houses with stone roof and village explore to make your visit worth. Views of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna South outstanding views from Ghandruk. Income source of this village is tourism, farming, and domestic animals. Gurung people are well known in the British army as well as in the Indian Army.
Day 08 Ghandruk to Pokhara via Naya Pul (max 5hrs)
The Naya Pul trailheads to the south from Ghandruk and stone-paved. Walking down and crossing steam reaches Kimche village through hill down to Syauli Bazaar at the bank of Modi Khola. Here the lodges and cafes seem quite cosmopolitan. From Syauli Bazaar walking is flat along the road. The route continues river valley to Chirmrong and finally Birethanti. Its 30 minutes walk to Naya Pul. From Naya Pul a car or a van drive you to Pokhara.
