Helambu Circuit Trekking begins from the eastern part of Kathmandu Sundarijal a small town linked with Kathmandu road.
This trekking route displays out hiking trails, Sherpa and Tamang villages, the forest of rhododendron, conifers, oak, large cow and yak pastures and mountain views, outstanding natural beauty, fascinating culture. Like Annapurna Circuit trek, Helambu Trekking route affected by road in some places. Fewer tourists and altitude with common accommodation are included in this trek. Mountain views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Rolwaling Mountain ranges appear from someplace to place to attract the eyes during the trek. You pass and walk through ridges, villages, ridges and densely covered with various trees and subtropical plants.
Helambu Circuit Trek is named from Helambu village which is in Sindupalchowk District of Nepal located in the northern part of Kathmandu. It is an easy and short period of trekking route past Shivapuri National Park and to Langtang Notational Park. It is the best trip for those trekkers who intend to stay short holiday in Nepal to explore villages, culture, village life and religion and panoramic mountain views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, and Rolwaling. Trekking paths are not very difficult and high but walking several times up and down a meandering village, forests and ridge paths usually 5-6 hours every day. The highest altitude of this trek is at Tharepati (3595m).

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu Daily Itinerary
When you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport then transfer to your hotel. A short briefing is given concerning trekking itinerary.
Day 02 Sightseeing Swayambhu, Boudha and Durbar square
Day 03 Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani (2194m)( 4 hrs)
The first day of the trek drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal about 1 hour by car. The trekking starts climbing up to Chisapani, past Sundari Jal Khola, supply drinking water and reserve water for Kathmandu. The trail heads up through streams and enters in Shivapuri National park. Where trekking permits must register in the army check post. Parsley inside the forest, various birds and insects sound to your ears while Mulkharka a beautiful village of Tamang and Gurung arrives to view Kathmandu city and beyond the village a forestry pass at Borlang Bhanjyang (2460m) after this point gently descend meandering through green jungle of pine, rhododendron, and oak, the path eventually at Chisopani has good lodges and guesthouses with mountain views to the north and east direction.
Day 04 Chisapani - Golphu Banjyang (2139m) (5-6hrs)
The trail has engulfed by road up to the ridge of Pati Bhanjyang and peaceful descends to a white chorten in Sherpa community of Thankune Bhanjyang. Walking through on farm fields to the village of Chipling and then to Lapcha Danda pass from here entering a forest of rhododendron to Thotong and finally today’s destination day at Golphu Bhanjyang village of Tamang community. Beautiful mountain views appear above hills and valleys from this place.
Day 05 Golphu Banjyang to Tharepati (3640m,(7hrs)
Day three trek the most tiring and exhausting day to climb up 1500 meters to reach Tharepati.but views are superb and best from here during this trek. The steep trail to Tharepati across Golkhu Bhanjyang, Kutumsang (2450m) and fro Mangengoth climb is steep. Starting from Golkhu Bhanjyang, climb the hill to Kutumsang (2450m). As you climb the Yurin Danda ridge, views of peaks, Langtang and Gosaikunda are awesome from Kutumsang, f the trail runs down to the village of Magengoth and leaving Thare Danda ridge from here the steep path leads two hours to reach the Tharepati village (3640m.) of Sherpa community have basic lodges and guest house. This is a meeting route of Helambu and Gosaikunda trek. It is a village ideal to experience Sherpa culture and local life and good weather exposes Mountain View of Langtang.
Day 06 Tharepati to Tarkeghyang (2590m)(max 6hrs
Today’s trail to Tarkeghyang heads through a forest of pine rhododendron. And the beauftiful valley of Helambu lying down. Further, the path on a ridge climbs steeply to Heading east from the Tharepati., The trail runs down on ridge passing rhododendron steep down a suspension bridge is crossed to reach Melamchi village is rich in all kinds of agriculture farming. To practice the Buddhist religion and ceremonial function for the people of the village there is a community Gompa.
Day 07 Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2690m) (max 6hrs)
The trail to Sermathang is mostly easy and comfortable meandering through cultivation land, Sherpa village, and forest. Eventually, we reach Sermathang Sherpa village which has an ancient monastery with good in art, and also from here mountain views of Langtang, Rowling and Ganesh Himal can be seen.
Day 08 Sermathang to Melamchi Bazaar (980m, 4hours driving)
Trekking meandering villages, forests, ridges and capturing beautiful mountain passed 4 days and today is 5 day the last trekking trip covers villages, farming fields and meeting many local people up and down along the path. The trail descends gently while Just before arriving Melamachi Bazar a bridge is crossed over Melamchi Khola. Melamchi is a big bazaar as a business center to remote villages. From Melamchi Bazar drive to Kathmandu by local bus or jeep run on narrow road bumping and jumping on the road to Kathmandu 4 hours
Day 09 Rest day in Kathmandu
Day 10 Departure from Kathmandu
